Peter Wilson: A very close final tie rearranged from week 8 with all to play for, Mannamead B requiring 38 points to secure 4th place in division 2 and Plympton A needing just 28 points to take second place. Despite this pressure, with it being the last match of the season everyone was first and foremost out to enjoy the tennis. As always against Mannamead we had some very close matches with really great tennis. A very dark, cloudy, humid evening with the nights drawing in meant it was almost dark before we finished, but everyone was determined to finish. Mannamead came with a good turn out of supporters who commented how enjoyable all the matches were to watch with many rallies involving all the players and a huge amount of court coverage. A great evening of tennis followed up by an enjoyable social with the customary Pimms and refreshments.
