Peter Wilson: Plymstock A second pair of Debbie Bauckham and Vicky Roberts got off to a great start against the home team second pair of Olga Rogers and Julie Wigmore winning the first set 6-3. However the home pair came back to win the second set without dropping a game. In the decider the home side won 10-6. The Plymstock first pair of Jess Randell and Nicky Slight were too consistent for their opponents winning 6-0 6-2 against Tavistock's first pair of Oonagh Glancy and Mary Harold and 6-0 6-3 against Olga and Julie. Both Tavistock pairs went ahead in their second sets but then surrendered their leads without dropping another game to Jess and Nicky. In the final match up between Debbie and Vicky for Plymstock and Oonagh and Mary for Tavistock the home pair were always on top winning the rubber 6-3 6-0. The overall result was a narrow win for Plymstock 45-38
