  • Peter Wilson: It was a slow start for the C team as the D's first pair of Mary Harold and Nicky Harmer took control from the beginning against Oonagh Glancy and Wendy George. However the C's second pair of Olga Rogers and Julie Wigmore comfortably won their rubber against D's second pair of Gemma Cleland and Tracy Temperley. In the second rubbers Oonagh and Wendy got going taking the win 6-3 6-3 against Gemma and Tracy and Olga and Julie narrowly beat Mary and Nicky 10-6 in the deciding tiebreak to secure a win for the C team 56-37
